About
I am Clara Lundblad, a documentary filmmaker working with hybrid forms, exploring the space between reality and artistic interpretation. I grew up in Denmark and hold a Master’s degree in Transmedia Documentary and Reportage from Universidad Carlos III in Madrid. Having lived in Denmark, New York, Barcelona, and Madrid, I have encountered a range of cultures and perspectives that continue to shape my filmmaking.
My work spans directing and editing, often combining documentary material with more experimental approaches. I’m interested in what emerges when storytelling is not only meant to inform, but to provoke and to engage the audience on an emotional and intuitive level, beyond what can be explained through words.
For me, documentary is a powerful medium, not only for telling stories, but for creating a space for listening, and for inciting the desire to listen. Listening to other lives, perspectives, and experiences, especially in a time where this feels increasingly rare.
I approach filmmaking as an ongoing process of experimentation, seeking forms and expressions that can offer something beyond information: a shift in perspective, a moment of recognition, or a connection that other mediums cannot provide.
